Actor Aarti Chabria was recently in the capital for a dance performance.
Minutes before she got on stage, the zip of her ghaghra gave way. This created too much panic backstage, but Aarti didn’t fret and fume.
She simply went into her green room and did some good patch-up job by using eight safety pins. “I didn’t want to keep the crowd waiting, and this seemed to be the best quick fix solution that time,” she told us.
And, the event went off smoothly with no wardrobe malfunction making news. The Dilliwalas were khush. Now we know why safety pins are called ‘safety’ pins, eh!
