Aamir is going bald

Aamir is going baldThe post-release promotions of Taare Zameen Par have ensured that Aamir Khan has had no time for his next release, the Hindi remake of Ghajini. The star will now start shooting for it in the first week of March and will go bald for it soon.An industry source says, “Aamir is staying true to his reputationof being a perfectionist. Aamir is currently very busy giving final touches to TZP’s DVD. He is adding in a whole host of different extras, which include commentaries and the detailed making of the film. This is what the actor is also busy shooting for and that’s why he hasn’t been able to give time to his next release.

Action at last

Aamir was to shoot for the film by the end of January but had asked the producers of the film some time off for TZP. They kept waiting for over two months; and now, Aamir has finally given them dates. ”Director A R Murugadoss said, “We are shooting from next month and yes, Aamir is going bald. Aamir Khan´s fan speaks up

Aamir Khan´s fan speaks upEverybody knows that Aamir Khan is one of very few intelligent thinking actors in the Hindi Film Industry.Aamir Khan is my most admired actor in Bollywood and to be very honest, he is the most talented and respected actor of his generation or one of the best. May be his popularity is less than other two Khans, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan but Aamir Khan is a superstar in his own right. He may not have won many awards like Shah Rukh Khan but he deserves more then he has got. He has been part of the movies which are going to be all time classics like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Dil, Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin, Andaz Apna Apna, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Rangeela, Raja Hindustani, Lagaan, Dil Chahta Hai, Rang De Basanti and also his directorial debut Taare Zameen Par. Not to forget his performances in his other movies.Aamir Khan has never been a let down for his acting performance. If you take the past history also, there are only three actors, who could just be little better then him; Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan and Late Sanjeev Kumar. Even Aamir Khan has proved his histronics in all kind of roles and different genres of cinema.

Aamir has been successful in other endeavors also. Be it as a singer in Ghulam - we all love that song ‘Aati Kya Khandala’. He has also been an excellent brand ambassador - who can forget his advertisements for ‘Titan’ and ‘Coke’. There is always quality in his work. He does less but what he does is best.

He has been a successful producer with the Oscar nominated Lagaan and now Taare Zameen Par. Lots of people did not have faith in these movies that it will succeed. They have not only become blockbusters but they are the pride of Indian Cinema. His directorial debut Taare Zameen Par was the only movie last year, which brought tears in my eyes. I watched most of the people reaction in the theatre, they were all moist eyed. Audience became part of the film while watching it. Many of them felt, it was their story or the story of their children. It educated us. After watching the movie, we do feel ‘there needs to be a change in the education system of our country (India)’.

Children are over burdened with studies and they are not able to enjoy their childhood. It was about the dyslexic child but the story is for every child. There is too much of pressure for studies from parents today. They forget that they are just small children. Can’t these children enjoy their childhood the way they want?

The actor has made a brilliant movie and it was very nice of him to make it as his directorial debut. We are looking forward to more movies like this. We salute you to make such a meaningful film. Darsheel Zafary has given an excellent performance and he should have genuinely got the Best Actor Award.

Three kudos to Aamir Khan and his team for making the thought provoking Taare Zameen Par!

Aamir Khan’s flop shows

Aamir Khan’s flop showsAamir Khan has been synonymous with a number of critically acclaimed films as well as box-office successes. His Lagaan ended up with an Oscar nomination, Rang De Basanti took the nation by storm while Taare Zameen Par became tax-free for the sensitive treatment of the social theme. Aamir being one of India’s most dependable actors, it is no wonder that he has such a huge fan following. However, after doing masala flicks like Mela and Mann, he decided to concentrate on quality cinema and till date has been associated with much better films. However, we would like to rewind to some of Aamir Khan’s unknown, forgotten or completely lambaste

Nokia 14th Annual STAR Screen Awards

Nokia 14th Annual STAR Screen Awards

Star Plus hosted the Nokia 14th Annual Star Screen Awards 2008 on 27 January from 7.30 pm onwards.

The awards will showcase performances by Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, Urmila Matondkar, Shahid Kapoor, Ritesh Deshmukh, Amrita Arora and Dia Mirza. The show was anchored by Sajid Khan and Shreyas Talpade.

Amir Khan’s, Taare Zameen Par was in the list of 17 nominations. As it is Amir Khan’s belief that attending Award functions is a waste of time, the organizers of the award function came up with an idea of placing a huge cut-out of Aamir Khan from the film Taare Zameen Par to make up for his absence at the function.

The Best Director Award went to not just one, but two well-deserving people, Aamir Khan for Taare Zameen Par and Shimit Amin for Chak De.

Khan’s 17 Chak De! India girls make their presence felt all through the evening as they hoot and cheer the nominees, winners, anchors and performers.

The Nokia Annual Star Screen Awards is said to be the most prestigious awards in the history of Bollywood.
