Himesh Reshammiya is playing a fan of none other than Aamir Khan in John Matthew Matthan’s A New Love Ishtory. In the film, Himesh is so busy worshipping Aamir that he impersonates Aamir’s character Munna in the Urmila starrer Rangeela. Our source said, “Himesh’s character is a stuntman called Sikander alias Sukku bhai in A New Love Ishtory and is shown using colloquial Mumbai lingo just like Aamir did in Rangeela.” Himesh we hear will be wearing Munna’s colourful clothes including the infamous yellow shirt. In fact, the locals from Amboli village where Himesh just completed a 15-day schedule are also helping Himesh speak in true tapori syle. When contacted, Himesh confirmed and said, “Yes. I am really enjoying the experience.” “I have discovered that I have a flair for comedy and although I play rather intense characters in my other films like Karzzzz and Kajraa Re, comedy is definitely my forte,” he added. In A New Love Ishtory, Himesh woos a rich businesswoman played by Niharika Singh. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar.

Success in Bollywood has as much to do with luck as it has to do with hard work. Not even an overly-dedicated actor like Aamir Khan is an exception to this rule. In fact, Aamir believes that veteran Yahoo actor Shammi Kapoor has been his good luck charm right from his debut film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak — when Aamir had sought Shammi’s blessings — to the more recent Taare Zameen Par. Little wonder, then, that Aamir’s not taking any chances for his latest production Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, that marks the debut of his nephew Imran Khan.Resisting the temptation to host a lavish party for the music launch of the film, Aamir’s planning to make it a more intimate affair by going to Shammi’s house on May 20 and presenting him with a copy of the film’s music that’s been composed by AR Rahman. Incidentally, Shammi is an old family friend having worked in classics like Teesri Manzil and Tum Sa Nahi Dekha which were produced by Aamir’s uncle Nasir Hussain. Says Aamir, “Shammiji’s blessings are important. He has been a guiding force since a long time and has been very close to our family. It’s a kind of ritual for us to go and present him the first copy of the music. This time it’s Imran’s launch and it’s all the more important.”
The battle of the blogs has just intensified, what with the Taare Zameen Par self-crowned genius and the universally acknowledged clutter-breaker Aamir Khan proclaiming that he has named a dog Shah Rukh Khan.
The shocking display of insolent humour has sent shock waves in the otherwise-insulated and unconcerned film industry.
Says a very popular character-actor who has worked with both the actors, “I guess the freedom provided by a blog tends to loosen tongues. Amitji has never been known to be as undiplomatic as he’s on his blog.
Aamir must have thought it’s time to increase the odds, what if Amitji’s blog gets more eyeballs! Also, his nephew’s film is around the corner.
During the release of Taare Zameen Par Aamir created a controversy by taking on Amitji and Black. Now for the nephew it’s Shah Rukh being called a dog. All I can say is, life’s a bitch.”
Shah Rukh remains characteristically unfazed and humorous in the face of his colleague’s uncharitable and tasteless remarks.
When this writer expressed shock and indignation at Aamir’s remarks, SRK responded, “Earlier on people used to name their children after famous people.
Somebody naming a dog after a known person is a new beginning in that direction. I don’t have a copyright over this name if used non-commercially.”
But a close friend of SRK on promise of anonymity reacted far more aggressively.
“Aamir’s megalomania has been brewing for a while. Earlier he declared himself no.1 as compared with SRK who took it smilingly. Now Aamir is down to street-level provocation.
You know those neighbours who try to get your attention by breaking your windows, letting their dogs crap on your lawn or just dirtying your car. It’s best for Shah Rukh to ignore these efforts to get his attention.”
It had to happen and it has… first Aamir Khan insulted Amitabh Bachchan over his acting in critically praised film Black, then he went ahead and told the world about his pet dog who is named after Shah Rukh, and now the bald-headed perfectionist uses a song to make a joke out of… wait for it… our Salman Khan! Aamir has put pen to paper and written lyrics for a song that ridicules Salman Khan, and will now use it on the soundtrack of his forthcoming film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na… which introduces his nephew Imran Khan. A source says, “Aamir has been meticulously planning and executing every aspect of his nephew’s debut film with director Abbas Tyrewalla. He also roped in A R Rahman, the best name in the music industry to compose the music of this film.” The song has a lot of attitude and spunk and is filmed on Imran and his gang of friends where they are addressing the song to Pappu, a burly rich guy in their college. While shootong the song, Aamir ended up saying, ‘I hope Salman doesn’t mind this song’.
Here are some of the lyrics that Aamir has used to make a joke out of a fellow actor:
Hai muscular… Very muscular
Hai popular… Very popular
Hai muscular hai popular
Spectacular!
He’s a bachelor
Pappu ki gaadi tez hai
Pappu kudiyon mein craze hai
Pappu ki aankhen light-blue
Pappu dikhta angrez hai
Rado ki ghadi haathon mein
Perfume Gucci wala
But Pappu can’t dance, saala
But Pappu can’t dance, saala
Haan Pappu naach nahin sakta
As you can see… each line has been written in such a way that it describes Salman and his habits. What we ask you, was this really needed… could Aamir have gone without making a joke out of Salman Khan… why is Aamir getting up the wrong sides of every other actor… is the career of his nephew this much important to him… who will Aamir target next… we ask you…
The blog business gets dirty once again. Not long back Aamir Khan had said, “I would like to ask Shah Rukh, how it feels to be No.2.” Then, SRK had taken it in a good spirit and once again, SRK proves that he has no time or interest in the game of words.
Read an excerpt from Aamir Khan’s blog which goes as, “”Shah Rukh is licking my feet and I am feeding him biscuits every now and then. What more can I ask for?
Now, before you jump to any conclusions let me add that Shah Rukh is the name of our dog. And before you jump to any further conclusions let me add that I had nothing to do with naming him. In fact Shah Rukh is the dog of the caretakers of our house. When I bought this house it came with the caretakers and their dog! Apparently Shah Rukh (the actor) was shooting for a commercial in this house a few years ago, and that very day the caretakers bought a pup…, and named him Shah Rukh. What are the chances of me buying a house which comes with a dog called Shah Rukh!!!
Some of my friends claim that I bought the house just because of the dog. I would have to be a serious fan of Shah Rukh’s to want to do that. Your guess…”
Even before signing off from his blog he takes one final dig at the Baadshah of Bollywood by saying, “Well Shah Rukh is once again begging for my attention, so let me get back to him. He is smelling too much, I think he needs a bath. “Heel boy, heel.”
On this Shahrukh again proves his maturity by choosing to close the controversy instead of bloating it. Says the King Khan of Bollywood:
“Moving towards blogs is a way towards joining the journalist fraternity, I love journalists but I am an actor and would like to keep it that way.”
Shahrukh brushes aside all controversies by commenting:
“Hum log hum umar hai — main, Salman, Aamir. Aur hum jab milte hain toh is se bhi ajeeb batein karte hai. (All three of us — Salman, Aamir and me are the same age and when we meet, we talk stranger stuff than this.) I have to take it with a sense of humour and I do have a sense of humour. If I can do it with others, then I should accept it.”
We guess that with SRK’s cool reaction like this, there could not be a better end to this dog-blog controversy. What say, pals?
