While poor onscreen chemistry was a major cause of concern between Abhishek and Aishwarya afer Umrao Jaan’s failure, things seem to have changed post Guru . Post their wedding, they will be seen together for the first time in Ram Gopal Varma’s Sarkar Raaj. And now Guru’s director, Mani Ratnam has offered them another film. It is believed that after Guru this couple is also very keen to do films together. It is a known fact that Abhishek and Aishwarya share an excellent rapport with Mani Ratnam. When he expressed his desire to work with the couple once again, they agreed immediately. Aishwarya’s business manager Hari Singh confirms the development saying, “Yes it’s true that Aishwarya and Abhishek have given their consent to Mani Ratnam for his next. The film will commence this year.” The film is expected to be mounted given a big platform. This romantic film will have interesting roles for this couple. Mani Ratnam has his script ready and once he gets the dates from the actors, he will
announce the project soon.

There is news that “Ramayana” will be portrayed on the Hollywood screen.The brain behind this fascination is Ashok Banker whose love for mythology led him to take on such determination of portraying “Ramayana” on the Hollywood screen. Talks about the production of this movie have been going on since 2006 , and a major Hollywood production studio is backing it. When asked about the cast and crew for his movie Banker says, “Some major names — both from Hollywood and Bollywood — are expected to be part of it. I’ve no idea if Nicole would be in it, though personally, I think she’ll make a great Surpanakha. Even Daniel Craig’s agent has called up to say that he’d be interested. And, if I had my way, I’d like him to do Ravana, since he has a very brutish and a very powerful presence. Actually, I’d want the baddies to be played by Westerners and Indians to play the ‘human’ ones” .
Indian spectators on the other hand find Ash-Abhi to be the ideal couple for the role of Sita and Ram. Ravana, they say will be best portrayed by King Khan –Sharukh.

Abhishek had bought a house where he intended to move with his wife Aishwarya, Abhishek says, “It is not true at all.” Refuting reports that Abhishek Bachchan has bought a flat in Vashu Bhangani’s building pat opposite the Bachchans’ residence Jalsa, the producer-turned-builder turns emotional. “I’ve never come across a more devoted son than Abhishek. Not even my own son Jackie. It really hurts me to see my name dragged in as a home-breaker. I shudder to think how I’d react if my son got married and decided to move out. Abhishek would never do that. As for buying an apartment in my building….arrey, he doesn’t have to BUY one. All he has to say is send him the keys, and it’s his. That’s the kind of rapport we share.” Getting more emotional Vashu continues, “When I bought land opposite Amitji’s bungalow it was a dream come true. That’s why I named the building Pinnacle Dreams.”
Once news was out that apartments were available opposite the Bachchans’ residence, Vashu had a tough time keeping the crowds of buyers away. “All the apartments in Pinnacle Dreams were sold out eight months ago. There’s no vacant apartment except one which I’ve kept for myself and that I’d happily give it to Abhishek anytime. But he hasn’t asked me for it! In fact, many interested people including Pritish Nandy have called to inquire about place in Pinnacle Dreams. Now I’m building a high-rise apartment in front of the J W. Marriott.”
Vashu intends to return to film production this year, for his son Jackie’s sake. “My son Jackie will be launched by Vivek Sharma (who’s currently helming Bhootnath with the Big B for producer Ravi Chopra) in a film called Kal Kissne Dekha. The film starts shooting in June.”
Bhagnani Jr’s leading lady is in the process of being finalized. One of the strong contenders is Vedika who’s done some South Indian films. Says the proud father, “I’ve been preparing the boy for six years now. He has been trained in every thing possible. But of course you can’t fool the audience. If Jackie isn’t good he’ll be rejected.”
Abhishek Bachchan ’s mother Jaya Bachchan seems very fond of her bahu-to-be, Aishwarya Rai . However, for the Bachchans, Ash has already become a part of their family.On Karan Johar’s show ‘Koffee With Karan’, Jaya Bachchan candidly expressed her admiration for Aishwarya. Just at the mention of Aishwarya, Jaya Bachchan said: “She is lovely. I love her. I have always loved her.” Jaya Bachchan said the most admirable thing about Ash was how she fitted into the Bachchan family. “I have never ever seen her push herself whenever we are all together. I like that quality of hers to stand behind. She is quiet. She listens and she is taking it all in. And another beautiful thing is that she has fitted in so well in the family. She knows who are our good friends,” Mrs. Bachchan told Karan Johar. When Johar asked if Aishwarya is the ideal Mrs. Abhishek Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan said convincingly: “I think so.” Jaya also told Johar how her husband, Amitabh Bachchan , had become fond of Aishwarya. “The minute she (Ash) comes in it is like our daughter Shweta coming home for Amitji, and he lights up. I think that she will fill the vacuum that Shweta left behind,” Jaya Bachchan said.

So who said life was easy for a self-declared trendsetter?Ramu will a 100 percent bounce back in 2008 with Sarkar Raaj. Those who’ve seen the rushes can’t stop raving about it.Role Swapping: 2007 saw a lot of music composers turning to singing. And now in 2008 director Farhan Ahktar is turning into an actor and singer! Yeh ho kya raha hai?!At this rate there will be no clear demarcation between professions in show-biz.
