It’s almost a year since Abhishek and Aishwariya tied the knot. The beautiful couple will celebrate their first anniversary in Miami, not that they planned the special occasion “It just happened” according to Big B.
Senior Bachchan said, “Abhishek is shooting in Miami for Dostana on their marriage anniversary. And Aishwarya is going to be with him.”

Johar wanted to cast the Bachchan bahu with Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham , but now has roped in Priyanka Chopra for the female lead because Ash refused the role in the film that also has a sizzling number by Bollywood hottie Shilpa Shetty . “I opted out of ‘Dostana’ because the inter-personal relationships among the three of us made me uncomfortable. Now that Abhishek and I are married, the kind of quirky situations shown in ‘Dostana’, albeit in a comic vein, wouldn’t have worked,” Ash said.
Mumbai saw Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan unveil the autobiography, ‘My Country My Life’, written by leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, L.K. Advani. Big B, as always, was not without her much admired daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Also present were other politicians along with LK Advani himself, Pandit Jasraj, ace art director Nitin Desai and Manoj Kumar.
Where the writing skills of Advani is still to be judged, considering the elite guests who honoured the book launch, this book does promise to make a good read.

Shwetha who was in Mumbai after a long gap was quite excited about meeting her former roommate Aishwarya at a recent party but was shocked when she was completely cold-shouldered by the top actor.
Actor Shwetha Menon, who was busy with her films in the south, returned to Mumbai to attend a party hosted for Sikander Kher’s debut film Summer of 2007. Naturally, she was delighted to see her roommate from her Miss India days at the same event and went up to greet her joyously. However, her warm gesture was not acknowledged by Aishwarya, who completely ignored her and went around socialising with everyone else instead.
Disappointed at the cold reception from Ash with whom she had shared the same room for almost a month, Shwetha left the main hall quickly.
An eye witness says, “Shwetha Menon was eagerly waiting for Aishwarya and the moment she came, she went ahead and hugged her. Aishwarya however, did not return the gesture and after a perfunctory, cold‘hi’, proceeded to ignore her completely.”
