The month of October did not prove to be very lucky for beautiful Aishwarya Rai. First, it was her doting father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan who had to be admitted to the hospital on his birthday owing to pain in his stomach. No sooner did he start feeling better giving everyone a sigh of relief, than her father Krishna Raj Rai fell ill and was immediately admitted at Hinduja Hospital. Sources say that he had only gone there as a part of his routine check up, but was admitted immediately after that.

It was a dark day for all the fans of the Bollywood superstar, Amitabh Bachchan, as the actor was rushed to the hospital in Mumbai owing to pain in his abdomen. What makes it worse was that it happened to be Big B’s 66th birthday.
Senior Bachchan was feeling unwell since last night, but on Saturday, amidst the birthday celebrations, the superstar felt pain in his abdomen and was rushed to the nearby Nanavati hospital where X-Rays of his chest and stomach were taken. After less than an hour at the Nanavati hospital, Mr. Bachchan was taken to Lilavati hospital in an ambulance. The superstar was lying on a stretcher and was taken inside the hospital by his son Abhishek Bachchan , daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai and daughter Shweta. His family doctor Jayant Barve is taking care of the superstar.
Readers may recollect here that Mr. Bachchan has been battling his medical condition of intestines for last few years. In 2005, he underwent a surgery for infection, inflammation and perforation in his intestines at Lilavati hospital.

No other Bollywood actress is as well known abroad as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Aishwarya has already done quite a few Hollywood projects like ‘Mistress of Spices’, ‘The Last Legion’ and yet to be released ‘Pink Panther’. Now the actress will possibly again sign an international project with Will Smith in the lead role. Aishwarya said, “There is the possibility of a movie with Will Smith and I am very excited about it because the script is fabulous and no doubt, he is a great actor and is a funny companion to work with.”
Now, the cast of any Ramayan could not get more interesting than this. Mani Ratnam is planning a most interesting cast for his upcoming ‘Ramayna’ with Abhishek Bachchan playing ‘Maryada Purushottam Ram’, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan playing the docile and beautiful ‘Sita’ and above all, Govinda is expected to play Bhakt Hanuman in the film. Tamil actor Vikram will play the evil Ravan.
The new modernized version of Ramayan by Mani Ratnam will revolve around Ram-Sita love story. The film is to be made under Ratnam’s banner Madras Talkies and will be produced by his Mani’s sister Sharda. The flick will go on the floors by September end. Interestingly, Vikram, who will be playing Ravan in the Hindi version of the movie, will play Ram in the Tamil version.
