Well, we will miss that trademark white beard which has framed this superstar;s face for quite sometime now, for the little birdie has it that director R Balakrishna of ‘Cheeni Kum’ plans to give the legendary actor, Amitabh Bachchan, a complete makeover in his forthcoming ‘Pa’ and Big B is said to have agreed to cast off his beard for this emotional drama. The musical scores of the film have been done by Ilayaraja.
The movie will have junior and senior Bachchan playing father and son. “Pa would be a far more emotional story than Cheeni Kum, which was far more caustic, dry and sharp-tongued. In Pa, Big B plays someone he has never played before. While in Cheeni Kum he was a character I had seen earlier, in Pa he’s a totally different person. It’ a very emotional father-son story, but the emotions won’t be melodramatic,” says Balakrishna aka Balki about Big B’s role in the film.
“Amitji will have no love interest. His world revolves around his son. Will I borrow from Amitabh’s real-life relationship with Abhishek? No. In fact, I know them so well that I’ll make sure I avoid all references to their real life,” reveals the director.

Touching that dreadful age line of 60 and already a proud grandfather, Amitabh still retains his charisma and magnetism. In the poll that was conducted by PETA, among other Asian contenders in the running, besides Amitabh, Madhavan was the only Indian contender. Among the Asian female contenders Bollywood actresses like Hema Malini, Kareena Kapoor, Mahima Chaudhry and Vidya Balan were considered. However, it was Hong Kong’s singer-actress Faye Wong who was voted as Asia’s sexiest vegetarian female.
The director of Peta in Asia-Pacific region said,
