Actors Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in Vivek Sharma’s Bhoothnath. And the ambience on the sets was quite cordial and friendly, we hear!
Apparently, there used to be a plate of peanuts doing the rounds on the sets, and Amitabh and Shah Rukh were quite addicted to these moongfalis, and always requested the man who took the plate around to hover around them.
But Amitji and Shah Rukh always used to crib about how fattening peanuts are, but without fail used to empty plates and plates of peanuts,” laughs director Sharma.
Akshay Kumar who had opted out of the Bachchan’s Unforgettable world tour due to time constraints has decided to join the tour again , though selectively.

The actor has been paid megabucks to be part of the tour, which will be held in July and August.Says an insider from the concert team, “Akshay is back in the Bachchans’ world tour. But he’ll join them only at select venues because that’s all his schedule will allow.” Adding big names
“Likewise, at other centers, the show’s organisers Wiz-craft are now in the process of roping in B-Town A-Listers who would accompany the Bachchans at various venues as they perform all over the US and later, Europe.This way, there would be a couple of big surprise guest appearances by marquee names in every city, though the focus of interest would remain Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya,” adds the source.
In musical company
Vishal-Shekhar have been confirmed as a part of the tour. They’ll be accompanying the Bachchans for all their concerts, just like Kalyanji-Anandji used to be an integral part of the Big B’s concerts decades ago. Vishal-Shekhar have been putting together Abhishek’s album for the last two years and it will finally be ready to coincide with the tour. The album will also feature vocals by the Big B.
A Bollywood cold war ended when Aamir Khan dropped in for a chat with Amitabh Bachchan.
The three-month-long standoff between the two was triggered when Aamir was reported to have made some uncharitable remarks about the Big B’s prized film Black on a deaf, blind and mute girl.
Confirming the unexpected development, Amitabh told IANS: “Yes, Aamir came to meet me. He was shooting next door at Mehboob Studios and dropped in to say `hi`. As simple as that.”
When asked how their meeting went, the Big B laughed and said: “Oh, grow up. It was just a normal thing that we all do when colleagues are shooting together. He has been over to our house, Jalsa, several times. He came home recently to pay his condolences when my mother passed away and again for the chautha. He also came to invite us to see his film Taare Zameen Par.”
Amitabh Bachchan has a huge fan following, including kids. Even though he hasn’t done any children’s film as yet, he is a favourite among children. Bachchan has worked with many child actors in his career and all of them enjoyed working with him. Last time in Cheeni Kum he was with Sweeni Khara and now he will be seen with Aman Siddiqui in Ravi Chopra’s Bhoothnath .
Bachchan shares a good rapport with all his child co actors. Not just onscreen, he is known for his good off screen chemistry with them. Bhoothnath talks about friendship of a kid with an imaginary friend, Bhoothnath. Apparently in real life both child actor Aman Aiddiqui and Amitabh Bachchan bonded very well.
Speaking about Aman, Amitabh says, “Aman has grown since the time we started the Boothnath . He is an absolutely adorable child who has huge talent. I am sure when you see the film you will realize how much potential he has.”
He calls Aman as his leading man. “I have worked with him in many advertisements. Now we have worked together in this film as co stars. He is my leading man. All of us enjoyed working with him.”
When asked Aman, was he scared by Amitabh’s Bhoothnath look? He says “Not at all. In fact both of us had lot of fun together. There was no nervousness working with him as I have already worked with him before in commercials.”
He further adds “I used to play cricket with him. He is very co operative. He told me a lot of things about acting.” While Bachchan who loves kids and enjoys being with them, says, “Working with kids is always a great joy. Sometimes it is very painful because they always upstage you. They are always better than you and Aman is a wonderful example of that. He is a born actor so you don’t have to tell him anything.” He concludes.
