Bong babe Bipasha Basu is set to sizzle with another younger hero( after Ranbir Kapoor) in ‘Freeze’. The latest is that the movie directed by newcomer director Jehangir Surti has been renamed as ‘Aa Dekhen Zara’. The Producer of the film and Executive Director, Eros Pictures Vikram Rajani has a very interesting comment to make.

He’d reportedly stated, “What is Freeze? The film was always called Aa Dekhen Zara. I don’t know how people called the film ‘Freeze’. That was just a working title we had in mind. We’ve had the title ‘Aa Dekhen Zara’ registered long time back.”The film with dusky Bips and ‘fair and lovely’ Neil is reportedly a romantic thriller. It is nearing completion and the buzz is that would release sometime next year.
We wonder how the romance between the unlikely pair turns to be like. This surely seems like a movie to look forward to!
After Bipasha Basu suddenly left Kashmir while shooting for Lamhaa, producer Bunty Walia and director Rahul Dholakia are having second thoughts about her being the film’s lead actress. Whether Bipasha will remain a part of the film or not will be decided after she has a meeting with Bunty and Rahul today. Meanwhile Bunty and Rahul are already looking at options to replace Bipasha if she does not agree to travel to Kashmir for a shooting schedule in January. One of the strongest contenders to step into Bipasha’s shoes is Vidya Balan. Recently, Rahul drove down to Wai to meet Vidya for the purpose. A couple of weeks ago Bipasha had left the film’s shooting mid-way and had flown down from Kashmir to Mumbai. The cast and crew of Lamhaa were shooting a sequence at Anantnag, which is 55 kms away from Srinagar. Rumour has it that Bipasha received a call after which she was very distressed. Suddenly she stalled the shoot and went inside her van. She then called up Rahul from inside and told him that she was returning to the hotel. Rahul followed Bipasha’s van and reached the hotel to have a talk with her. However, he was shocked to see Bipasha packing her bags and heading to the airport. Rahul tried to stop her but Bipasha shot back saying, “You won’t understand Rahul, you’re not a woman.”An industry insider said, “In January, Bunty and Rahul need to shoot for 10 days in Kashmir. If Bipasha doesn’t comply she can’t be a part of the film.”
When contacted, Bunty said, “We need to shoot in Kashmir for 10 days. I will start the shoot from January 4. I need Bipasha there. I have been given to understand by her and her manager that she is averse to going back to Kashmir. But I think I will convince her to do so. ”Rahul said, “I need Bipasha in Kashmir. I am meeting her for the same today.” When asked if Bipasha would still remain a part of Lamhaa even if she didn’t agree to go to Kashmir, Rahul said, “I will cross the bridge when I come to it.”

It’s no secret that Bollywood is, and has always been a male-dominated industry. The men get paid more, and enjoy much longer, illustrious careers, while their female equivalent see their fee and film offers reduce greatly once they hit 30.
Bipasha Basu, possibly the most forthright and outspoken actress in Bollywood (bar perhaps Kareena Kapoor) has seconded this viewpoint in a recent interview.
Rituporno Ghosh is one Bengali director who has worked with many leading Bollywood actresses and there is no doubt to it that he has brought out the best from each of them- be it Aishwarya Rai (Chokher Bali, Raincoat), Raima Sen (Chokher Bali, Dosar etc.) Soha Ali Khan (Antar Mahal) and even Preity Zinta (The Last Lear). Now, it is the turn of sizzling bong beauty Bipasha Basu to get moulded in a totally de-glam and bengali avatar in his forthcoming project ‘Shob Charitro Kalponik’.
The movie has Bipasha playing Manisha, a simple housewife whose ideologies clash with that of her poet husband. The frustration and tension in their marital life makes her fall for her husband’s friend in due course of time. A twist in the tale makes her view her husband in different light. Bipasha shares screen space with noted Bengali actor Prosenjit who plays her husband in the film.
Her last output ‘Race’ was a big hit at the box-office. Beside her debut in this Bengali film, Bips also has in row YRF’s ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ with Ranbir Kapoor and White Feather Art House Films’ ‘Pankh’ later in the year.

Ultimate Seductress
Getting noticed is one thing, making a mark is another! While the world discovered her through her sultry seductress avatar in Jism, it was her meaty roles in Raaz and No Entry that established her as a good actress in tinselville.
Different story, different role and an all new Bipasha! It seems that Bipasha is out to prove something every time she does a film. From a hot chic to plain Jane, Bips very convincingly steps into the varied mould of her film’s character and wows her fans and admirers. Here is a dekkho at Bipasha Basu’s contradictory avatars.
