Bollywood actress Celina Jaitley says she will withdraw her lawsuit against Pooja Bedi, who allegedly called her mentally ill and delusional, if the latter issues a public apology.
`If she apologises to me in all the leading newspapers, I wouldn`t want to take this further. But calling someone delusional is not a small matter. I`ve nothing against Pooja. So I don`t know why she decided to talk like this. People are wondering why she has spoken like this,` Celina told reporters. It all began with Endemol asking Celina to participate in their reality show `Fear Factor`. Although the actress turned down the offer, the production house used her name in the publicity campaigns. `I didn`t mind all this unwanted attention, but when my name was used as one of the contestants for the publicity for `Fear Factor`, I blew up. I totally understand protocol. Then I see Pooja Bedi jumping into the whole thing. I don`t know her except when we met for her chat show. I can`t see why she spoke about me like that,` said Celina. `It isn`t as if I`ve gone on a suing spree. I don`t want Pooja`s money, but a printed apology is a must.`

Q: Your run-ins with various people and organisations are creating a lot of news?
A: It`s not as if I`m enjoying it or that I`ve invited all these controversies. But there`re certain situations in life when one needs to take a stand. Take the Endemol case. I`ve nothing against the organisation. It`s one of their employees who was constantly calling and messaging me even after I told him I wasn`t interested in doing their reality show `Fear Factor`. Yet, they went ahead publicising my name as a part of the show. The next day they made me out to be this tantrum-thrower who demanded an entourage for the trip to South Africa. When the discussions had never reached the stage of a contract, where was the question of demanding an entourage?
Q: How did you decide this employee was crossing the line of protocol?
A: I didn`t react at his constant calls or the champagne bottle, which has created so much news. I`ve received champagne on the eve of my release. I understand the protocol for such things. But the agenda behind it was not to get me on the show but to become my manager. My lawyers put all this in my legal notice because I believe the Endemol employee was not contacting me for his company. He was doing it for his personal interest even after my telling him that I`ve a very efficient manager.

Controversies and Celina Jaitley can’t seem to get enough of each other. Now, this one started when Anand Chavan approached Celina Jaitley for the reality show on TV called ‘Fear Factor’ for Endemol. Celina turned down the offer on the plea that her Hollywood contract did not allow her to do reality shows. However, Celina charges that Chavan kept pursuing her by calling her continuously and even sent her champagne and flowers.
Celina was so annoyed that she sent the company Endemol a notice alleging that she was being harassed by Anand. After charging Ananad, the actress also charged Pooja Bedi who took Anand’s side and said in a media report that Celina was over-reacting and was “delusional”.
Celina was so angry at Pooja’s comment that she has now sued Pooja for Rs. 5 crore as compensation for her derogatory remarks. Pooja, on the other hand, is surprised by Celina’s behaviour for she feels that every person has a right to speak his or her mind whenever, he or she feels strongly about an issue.
As for us, our space seems to have had enough of stances where Celina believes she has been abused, harassed or insulted by someone or the other.

This one is the third incident of abuse and insult with Celina Jaitley, friends! This time the devil comes from the guests from across the border.
This Sunday, Celina Jaitley was in Delhi for her performance at the Indian Cricket League’s match between Pakistan and India. However, after she had finished her performance and was leaving with her security personnel around the stadium, she heard loud abuses in Hindi coming out of the Pakistani players’ enclosure.
Though she refuses to share the nastier comments or to put blame on anyone, some of the less abrasive comments she heard included, “Move her away, she is spoiling the mood of the entire match,” and “Why does she need such heavy security? Is she Osama Bin Laden?”
Recalls Celina with a shudder, “At first I couldn’t believe where it was coming from. I still want to give them the benefit of the doubt because it’s so hard to believe they could behave this way.” Celina wanted to rush out of the spot to her car, “But I couldn’t because the security guys wouldn’t let me pass. So I was stuck listening to myself being described in the most colorful language.”
This certainly isn’t a friendly gesture coming from sports to entertainment!
Celina Jaitley was in Delhi recently, to perform for the ICL match in Gurgaon, over the weekend. And even though the cocktail of Bollywood and cricket made for a heady dose of entertainment for the spectators, Celina herself wasn’t so happy! For one, the crowd got a little too excited and the actress had to deal with rowdy spectators plucking at her sleeve and jumping over barricades, to see her. And then, there was Inzamam Ul Haq, who was playing for one of the competing teams. Celina herself was pretty nice and diplomatic, saying she was happy with the audience’s response. After the match, she said, “I’m happy to be a part of a cricket event and I also loved the audience’s response. But what bugged me was the absurd remark, that Inzy made.” When media prodded a bit, she told them that she was walking in the ground surrounded by security guards, when Inzy saw the group and remarked, “Itni security dekh kar aisa lag raha hai ki Osama Bin Laden ghoom raha hai maidan mein!” (Due to heavy security guards around Celina, it seems as if Osama Bin Laden is strolling in the ground!) Inzy, if Osama had a figure like that, he’d be a lot more popular
