After Bipasha Basu and Jiah Khan’s charm captivated football star Cristiano Ronaldo and Hollywood actor Orlando Bloom respectively, it’s now Masumeh’s turn. The Chupke Se and Dus Kahaaniyan actress met Sean Bean, who has starred in The Lord of the Rings and Troy, during her recent visit to London. A close friend of Masumeh said, “Masumeh was in London on an official visit with her agent. She went to meet someone at Wolsley, a famous haunt at Piccadilly where a number of English producers, directors and actors hang out. As Masumeh entered, she saw Sean Bean, who seated at a table close to hers. After looking at her for a long time, he finally went up and spoke to her.” Sean told Masumeh that she looked like a princess and that he wanted to cast her in the TV series, Sharpe. “They also had a casual conversation about various other topics. The next thing we know is that Masumeh got a call from one of Sharpe’s production members offering her a role in the TV series,” added the friend. Masumeh confirmed the news and said, “Yes, I happened to meet Sean Bean in London recently and I am in talks with him for a role in Sharpe.” The actress will soon be visiting Sharpe’s production house in London to finalize the details before she starts shooting for the series. Sharpe is a British series of television dramas about Richard Sharpe, a fictional British soldier in the Napoleonic Wars. Sharpe is the hero of a number of novels by Bernard Cornwell. Most of the episodes are based on the books. Produced by Central Independent Television for the ITV network, the series was shot mainly in Turkey and the Crimea, although some filming was also done in England, Spain and Portugal.
