The Bachchans’ ‘The Unforgettable Tour’ has suffered yet another setback. After Akshay Kumar, it is now Lara Dutta who has backed out of the much awaited tour. Lara had to do so because of her knee injury.
‘I have injured my knee and have been asked by the doctors not to strain it further. Since I am also doing a big action film this year, going on the tour for three months will only aggravate my injury. So, unfortunately and regretfully I have had to withdraw from the ‘Unforgettable Tour’,’ she said in a press release.
‘The Unforgettable Tour’ was unveiled last year in Toronto and Big B will start touring the world next month along with son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya. Bipasha Basu and Riteish Deshmukh are still there with the Bachchans to add glamour to the show.
The Unforgettable Tour by the Bachchans is in trouble again. Not so long ago, Akshay Kumar, who was supposed to be a part of the tour, opted out. The already delayed extravaganza now has a new problem – Lara Dutta too has walked out of The Unforgettable Tour.
Says a source, “Lara has a knee problem and cannot go for the tour with the Bachchans. She is quite disappointed.”When contacted, Lara confirms her exit from the tour. She says, “I have injured my knee and my doctors have asked me not to strain it further.”
She adds, “I am doing a film called Blue, which has a lot of action scenes. Hence, I need to get back to my feet as soon as possible. Going for the tour and then coming back to shoot for Blue will only aggravate my knee problem. I do regret withdrawing from The Unforgettable Tour.”
Akki and Lara were slated to be a part of the entourage along with Bipasha Basu, Riteish Deshmukh, Shiamak Davar and the Bachchans (Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya) for the tour.
A new fitness regime, called the Gravity system was launched at the Watson Fitness centre at Khar in Mumbai this Thursday night. Bollywood Superstars Hrithik Roshan, John Abraham, Bipasha and Lara Dutta were present there to grace the occasion. Also present at the event were Mallaika Arora Khan, Lara Dutta, Kelly Dorjee, Hrithik’s wife Suzanne and Perizaad Zorabain.
Watson Fitness is the brainchild of fitness expert Zarine Watson who is personal trainer to many bollywood stars….John, Bips and Hrithik are among them who train under her.
It may be mentioned here that Kelly Dorjee, Lara’s ex-boyfriend, was also present there. Though the duo were completely at ease in each other’s presence and were quite enjoying themselves, they refused to greet or see eye-to-eye to each other.
The 2000 Miss Universe Lara Dutta and famous Actor Kunal Kapoor of Range De Basanti fame will be teaching stress Management in Auckland this month by correcting breathing linked to India’s leading spiritualists Sri Ravi Shankar Art of Living Foundation that conduct courses on eliminating stress in life.
Lara Dutta who after winning the Miss Universe title in 2000 becomes foremost actress of Bollywood is involved deeply in Art of Living. She and Kunal Kapoor in association with teacher Sangeeta Jani will promote the movement combining and spreading knowledge on meditation, yoga and breathing exercises with leadership development, physical training and communication skills.
According to the New Zealand Art of Living teacher Neha Bhatia their technique has helped in rehabilitation of prisoners, troubled youth, victims of natural disaster and war in the world’s hot spots.
It is well out of Ramsay Brothers’ plot. Lara Dutta was spooked out of her mind by eerie incidences at a palace where she was staying. Shooting for Ravi Chopra’s film ‘Banda Ye Bindaas Hai’ in Ooty with actor Govinda, Lara was made to stay at a royal palace of a late king of Mysore. However, Lara had a hair raising scary experience at the palace. During her one-day stay at the palace, Lara says she felt a presence in her room. She had a distinct feeling that someone was watching her. To add to it, the fan in Lara’s room began moving. The doors with rusty hinges began opening and shutting with a creaky sound. The lights began to blinker. And to top it all, Lara’s make-up girl suddenly caught high fever. Though she saw no ghost, Lara decided to move out of the palace. She told her producer that she and her staff would happily stay anywhere but at the palace.
