Mallika Sherawat is in news again, this time for her work though. The girl who is doing ‘Dasavatharam’ with Kamal Hassan will be doing a sexy pole dance in the film. Mallika
plays an intelligence agency operative, who in a sequence will take the of a pole dancer to titillate Kamal Hassan in a bar.
Mallika attired in a black lingerie with silver netting and a feathery headgear with dim light in the background and a sole spotlight on her will gyrate to the moves of choreographer Brinda (who also choreographed Mallika’s Turkish item ‘Maiyya Maiyya’ in ‘Guru’ ). The song was shot within two days.
‘Dasavatharam’ has Kamal Hassan in ten different roles. The movie’s music was recently released by Jackie Chan.
Mallika was very excited to perform this new dance form which she has never tried before. She even did a thorough research about the dance, consulted many books and watched videos of expert polo dancers.
Choreographer Brinda describes the song in the following words, “The song has been framed to seduce Kamal Hassan where Mallika will be heading some other dancers in the background.”

Jackie Chan and Mallika Sherawat
Over the weekend in Chennai, Jackie Chan made a hurricane visit, waved at thousands of fans, attended the music release of Kamal Haasan’s movie, Dasavatharam and left.
The whole exercise lasted for a mere 24 hours. And guess what his biggest blunder was? “I forgot to promote my own film, Forbidden Kingdom, which is releasing in India this week. For the first time, I will be coming on the screen with another of my favourite action hero, Jet Li,” said Jackie. We also asked him what he thought of Mallika Sherawat.
“Oh she’s a darling; I would love to do another film with her. And I’m sure the feeling is mutual,” he laughs. Here’s to their mutual admiration society, then!
NOT A MYTH: Mallika Sherawat.
Oblivious to the scores of fans who had been waiting breathlessly for one glimpse of the super action hero, Jackie Chan preferred to chill out in the air-conditioned comfort of his luxurious suite at Taj Coromandel.
The only person who had direct access to him was actress Mallika Sherawat, whose “gorgeous pair” Chan had once publicly praised.
Though Chennai’s been doing the Jackie countdown, Chan was far from being affable. He refused to have made-in-India water, and asked for imported mineral water instead. Why just water, even Indian food, which always rates high with celebs, found no favour with him. He found it safer to stick with his own cooks, who had accompanied him on his one-day India visit. Neither did he step out of his room, complaining of jetlag and a dire need of rest.
While Sherawat was flitting in and out of Chan’s room with ease, everybody else was persona-non-grata for Chan. Malayalam superstar Mammooty who was housed on the same floor, when asked if he had had a meeting with Chan said, “There’s no chance I’ll come anywhere close to meeting him, except on the stage.” Said a source who was present there, “Even when Chan came down for a brief photo-op for lensmen at the hotel’s coffee shop, he was clearly not in his elements.”
When a reporter asked Chan if he was looking forward to meeting Amitabh Bachchan, Chan snapped back saying, “I don’t know who Bachchan is.” Later in the day, Chan, along with Sherawat and a few other stars, watched a few select scenes from Dasavatharam on the hotel’s home theatre. Meanwhile, Sherawat, who has allegedly charged a bomb from producer Oscar Ravichandran, was said to be the only point of contact to get in touch with Chan.
Even Ravichandran had to place all his requests for Chan through this sexy actress. One of the first things that Sherawat did after landing in Chennai was to head to the stadium to check out the security rrangements there. Sherawat acted every bit the diva she thinks she is with those who had thronged the hotel premises in search of a byte.
Towards evening Chan left for the Nehru Indoor Stadium along with Big B, Mallika, Mammooty and about 30 bouncers and four bodyguards.
When Studio 18 signed Mallika Sherawat as the female lead of their film ‘Masquerade’, little did they know that they are playing with fire (red-hot one) and now, madam Mallika has annoyed director Kundan Shah with her ‘Nakhras’ to such an extent that the makers are left with no other option than to shelve the project.
Reports are that Mallika was signed for Rs. 9.5 million and was even paid 25% of her fee as the signing amount before she reported for the movie’s shoot. However, Miss Sherawat started throwing tantrums even before shooting could begin saying that she was not happy with the choice of the director and the cinematographer. When director Kundan Shah refused to give in to her interference, Mallika coolly went to the press and declared the she had walked out of the film.
