Indian theatres are all set to give a wholehearted welcome to the Pakistani film, Khuda Ke Liye on March 28, which also happens to be the first ever Pakistani film to be released in India. The film produced and directed by Shoaib Mansoor has Pakistani stars Shaan and Imaan Ali in the lead roles. The film also stars Naseerudin Shah in a very pivotal role. The film showcases the complex conditions of Pakistanis post 9/11. It highlights the cruel fact of West immensely suspicious about Muslims where they themselves are split between fundamentalists and Liberals. Naseerudin Shah playing a role of clergy claims that the film is a must watch for the masses and has been appreciated after being shown in Pakistan, London and Dubai. The film also had its screening in Goa film festival.
A minor explosion occurred during the screening of Jodhaa Akbar in Panvel on Wednesday afternoon. The police said no one was injured and the afternoon show continued till the film ended. The manager of Cine Raj told the police that the explosion, which occurred before the film’s interval around 3 pm, left one seat damaged. Navi Mumbai commissioner of police Ramrao Wagh said, “It wasn’t a loud explosion, which was why there was no commotion in the hall.”
Vijay Galani’s Veer directed by Gadar director, Anil Sharma, is a big budget extravaganza. The film has been in news because of its hero Salman Khan charging a never-heard-before packet of Rs 25 crore as his fee. Now, the Bollywood Hungama news break on the film is a strong possibility of Hollywood star Jean Claude Van Damme’s daughter starring in the film in a crucial role. “Yes she is here, but I wouldn’t want to talk about it. She is a big man’s daughter. Har cheez finalise nahin hui hai,” says director Anil Sharma. Sharma isn’t willing to disclose anything about the film except that “It’s a period film based in 1800.” He somewhat confirmed Salman’s reported pay packet for the film and also said that Salman has been working hard on his physique. It seems he has to enhance his frame by one and a half times since he is playing a warrior in the film. Van Damme sports a ferocious physique and is known world over for his international action packed films like Bloodsport, Lionheart, Universal Soldier, Double Impact etc. While searching on the net we found out he has two sons and only one daughter born in 1990 named Bianca from body builder Gladys Portugues. In all probability, Bianca will make a stinging debut in Bollywood soon. Considering both her parents are in physical sport, she must be a tough gal as well. And yes you read this big news first on

JODHA AKBAR disappointing movie. gr8 direction by ASHUTOSH, also art direction and technically movie is excellent, but wat it lacks is properly written story and screenplay. also that romance scene of hrithik-ash in 2nd half was stretched to no end, though it was directed well. editing is poor. many scenes were unwanted. especially the one where he is handling that wild elephant. i am still not getting how he actually obtained control over it. HRITHIK-ASH are gr8, and excellent chemistry. but most of the times u dont understand the conversations going on between AKBAR and the other moghal kings, due to high urdu. and the last fight scene between AKBAR and his brother in law was very well directed. the khwaja song picturisation is gud, but again that too has been extended for long time. the actions of the m,en singing that song make u laugh after some time, actually only i understood the essesnce of the song, it was used to describe us the character of EMPERORO JALLALUDIN. BUT again heavy use of urdu lyrics take our attention away from the song and the awkward behaviour of the singers grasp our attention. also JODHA’S character is poorly sketched. even though akbar allows her to follow her religion and traditions in his palace, even while greeting someone she follows the hindu way and never says “aadab”. it gets irritating after a point. AZEEM-O-SHAHENSHAH song is briiliantly pisturised and especially the background drum beats make the lively and those 15-20 mins are a treat to watch. there are quite few more memorable scenes in the movie. but this is the problem we always experience with historicals. why do directors tend to give less importance on script and more on the grandeur, cinematography etc. HRITHIK deserves a pat on the back for living the character of AKBAR so brilliant. flawlless performance. SONU SOOD and other supporting cast are gud.
