Priyanka is not sparing any event or occasion to promote her next sci-fi movie “Love Story 2050”. She was spotted with a Teddy Bear called Boo in her arms during the launch of Ira Diamonds Jewellery collection on June 24. IIFA awards, 2008, was completed yesterday on June 9, amidst much glamour and glitz. June 7, Saturday night in Bangkok, saw leading cine stars Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Ayesha Takia, Zayed Khan and the likes walk the ramp for a charitable event to raise funds for families of workers adversely affected during production of films.
While Kareena did it for Manish Malhotra’s designs, ‘De Taali’ stars, Aftab Shivdasani, Ritesh Deshmukh and Ayesha Takia walked the ramp in the works of designer Vikram Phadnis. The lead pair of the much awaited ‘Love Story 2050’, Priyanka and Harman Baweja flared Rohit Bal’s designs and the cast of the forthcoming ‘Mission Istanbul’ including Zayed Khan and Vivek Oberoi , showcased the look of their soon-to-be-released film on ramp. Ms Thailand Universe Khun Farung Yuthithum was another attraction at the event.
The IIFA fashion extravaganza hosted by director Karan Johar and choreographed by Lubna Adams, also showcased designs by Alta Moda, Mufti and Sabyasachi among others.

While 2007 was not too upbeat for the mesmerizing Goddess of Bollywood Priyanka Chopra, 2008 seems to bring her back in action after a long hiatus.
She was last seen way back in January 2007 in Nikhil Advani’s SALAAM-E-ISHQ. Since then her admirers have been desperately waiting. Good news for all these Priyanka fans as the pretty lady is geared up for a smashing entry in the latter half of 2008. Starting off with LOVESTORY 2050 where she is paired with her ‘beau’ Harman Baweja. This Harry Baweja film marks her arrival after a year and a half long which is set to release on 4th July worldwide.
After that it would be a busy 2008 for Priyanka from here on with multiple big banner films in the pipeline like GOD TUSSI GREAT HO opposite Salman Khan also starring Amitabh Bachchan alongside, Goldie Behl’s DRONA opposite Abhishek Bachchan where she is heard to play a bodyguard armed to the hilt and wields the sword to combat enemies, Madhur Bhandarkar’s long time in news FASHION which appears to be a complete Priyanka Chopra film is already hogging the headlines, Karan Johar’s DOSTANA starring herself, Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham would be youth-oriented film sans nudity and bloodshed, and last but not the least on the list is CHAMKU opposite Bobby Deol.
Even before their pair hit the screens, the much talked about off-screen and on-screen couple, Harman Baweja and Priyanka Chopra have been chosen by ace film director Ashutosh Gowarikar for his next project ‘Whats Your Rashee’ based on a novel called ‘Kimball Ravenswood’ by Madhu Rye.
The film is presented by UTV Motion Pictures and Ashutosh Gowariker Productions and will be jointly produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Sunita A.Gowariker. Where the rest of the cast is yet to be finalized, this romantic comedy is slated to go on floors in November 2008 in Mumbai.
Talking about his bent for romantic comedies, Ashutosh Gowariker said, “It is a genre that I have always loved, my most favorite ones being Roman Holiday, When Harry Met Sally, all of Frank Capra, amongst several others. I am also a great fan of Chupke Chupke and all the romantic comedies of Hrishikesh Mukherji and Basu Chatterji. It is a genre that I had always wanted to attempt and now I have got the opportunity to do so through What’s Your Raashee?”.
Well, with ‘Love Story 2050’ yet to hit the screens, this definitely is a welcome news for the Harman-Priyanka Jodi.
This summer Priyanka Chopra has reasons to be happy for she has not one, not two, but three films in tow awaiting release this July.
The first film to hit the screens on July 4 would be the much awaited sci-fi flick ‘Love Story 2050’ opposite Harman Baweja. The second one (not leeser in hype in any way) is producer Afzal Khan’s ‘God Tussi Great Ho’ scheduled for release on July 11. It has Salman Khan and Big B as Priynaka’s co-stars. Next is Dharmendra’s ‘Chamku’ awaiting release on July 18 opposite Bobby Deol.
However, an industry insider has to say here, “One wonders if Priyanka herself would be happy with three of her films arriving in such quick time. Not just would it too be too many things happening simultaneously in her career, she would also have to work extensively on the promotion of as many as three films simultaneously.”
He goes on to add, “In addition, she can’t really be expecting to catch on some breath even in weeks to follow since barely a month after her third release, she would be seen paired opposite Abhishek Bachchan in yet another high profile film of hers - Drona. A Goldie Behl fantasy costume drama, the film is all set for August 15 release.”
It does not end here. After ‘Drona’ and Goldie Behl’s flick, Priyanka is sweating hard for ‘Dostana’ and ‘Fashion’ too, both of which are expected to release this year end. Pheeewww!! That’s too much to ask from a pretty lady!
