The young heartthrobs Neil Nitin Mukesh and Ranbir Kapoor knocked on Bollywood’s door around the same time with their debut flicks Johnny Gaddaar and Saawariya. And we find the two entering into a neck to neck competition, yet again. In the very second film, Ranbir got the chance to be super hot Bipasha Basu’s Lucky Boy in Bachna Ae Haseeno and Neil too has ended up with the same luck. He will be romancing the delicious Bong babe in his second movie directed by debutant director Jehangir Surti. The movie was initially named Freeze but has been now titled Aa Dekhen Zara . Now if that rings a bell, let us take you back to the 1981 movie Rocky where a young Sanjay Dutt shook a leg with Reena Roy on the song Aa Dekhen Zara challenging their competitors Shakti Kapoor and Tina Munim. Here again, it makes for an interesting coincidence that the second films of both Neil and Ranbir derives title from yesteryear hit songs.Neil, who had no dance sequence in Johnny Gaddaar , surprised everyone with his dancing skills at last year’s Filmfare Awards when he synched his steps to the song Move Your Body .
And now the actor is ready to bring that visual treat again for his audience through a power packed dance performance in the film. And the song is none other than a remixed version of the old hit; a la Ranbir Kapoor who danced a thunder on the remixed version of Bachna Ae Haseeno. With Aa Dekhen Zara we wonder if Neil is trying to send a message across to his contemporaries. But it’s only after we see his act on screen that we will decide Kis Mein Kitna Hai Dum .
Three years in the industry, the innocence remains, but with a newfound maturity. This gets evident the moment you begin a conversation with Minissha Lamba.
She might still be searching for that one elusive solo hit, which will put her in the ‘A’ league of actresses, but the Punjabi kudi’s big dreams and confidence make her a strong contender to achieve that objective. Though she is working with big banners and some of the most happening male stars, the actress says that it can still get better for her.
Different genres
After romancing Ranbir Kapoor on screen in Bachna Ae Haseeno, Minissha will now be playing the lead role opposite Imran Khan in an upcoming movie. Talking about her role in the film, she says, “I play a character called Sonia, who gets kidnapped a week before her 18th birthday. Like in Bachna… I play the role of a 17-year-old girl here too. But, my role is a slightly serious one.”
The hottest new star, Ranbir Kapoor, launched the latest issue of famous fashion and lifestyle magazine Filmfare at Vie Lounge. The issue has Ranbir on the cover page.
At the launch of the cover, the stunningly looking Kapoor son spoke about good friend Deepika Padukone and also about his upcoming release “Bachna Ae Haseeno” starring Ranbir, Deepika, Bipasha Basu and Misnissha Lamba. So graceful and perfect did he look at the occasion that many a hearts definitely skipped a beat there. Check it out for yourself!

That Ranbir Kapoor gets to romance three lovely ladies in director Siddhartha Anand’s ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ is a stale one now. The latest addition is that the deadly trio together with Ranbir has shot a promotional number for the movie.
Choreographed by Ahmed Khan, the number has Ranbir jiving with the three ladies of the film – Deepika Padukone, Minissha Lamba and Bipasha Basu. To be known here that the three ladies are not sharing the share screen space in the film but are appearing together only in this promotional track.
The song has been composed by Vishal-Shekhar and has interesting facts related to it. The song uses the original opening lines of the famous song “Bachna Ae Haseeno” from Rishi Kapoor’s film ‘Hum Kissi Se Kam Nahin’. Where Kishore Kumar had sung the original one for Rishi Kapoor in 1977, Kishoreda’s son Sumeet has sung the song with similar title for Rishi Kapoor’s son Ranbir Kapoor in this movie.
At first, Ranbir was supposed to sing this song but the idea was dropped later. Hope the father’s song does wonders for son’s film.

What an extraordinary combination! You may find Ranbir Kapoor and Konkona Sen Sharma a total mismatch, but tis a fact that the duo has been finalized for a film to be produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Production. Apparently, both Ranbir and Konkona liked the script a lot and immediately gave their affirmative nod to it.
The film is about the union of a Punjabi heir-apparent and the Bengali bohemian. The movie will be directed by Ayaan Mukherjee who’s a cousin of Kajol. Ayaan has already assisted Ashutosh Gowariker in ‘Swades’ and Karan Johar in ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’.
Talking about Ranbir and Konkona being a far fetched match, a source says, “That’s exactly the point. In this Mumbai-based romance about urban relationships, the director needed a pair that seems incompatible. The film is about seeking a level of compatibility in a world gone distinctly out of control.”
