Saif Ali Khan says although he would love to team up with girlfriend Kareena Kapoor in all his productions, he has made it clear that he has not been instrumental in getting her a role in his untitled venture. “It’s entirely between Kareena and my business partner Dinesh Vijen. There was a verbal commitment between them for a couple of projects. Kareena and I don’t discuss business,” said Saif, who will be seen in Abbas-Mustan’s ready-to-release action thriller Race. “It is entirely the directors’ prerogative and we sign up the stars they want,” Saif told IANS. “Yes, I’d want Kareena and I to be in all our productions. But I’m not going to thrust our pair down producers’ throats. Of course, I’d like Kareena to be in every film I make. But my directors may have other plans,” he added. After JP Dutta’s LOC, the two will be seen together in Yash Raj Films’ Tashan. Saif has admitted his relationship with Kareena, who broke up with longstanding boyfriend Shahid Kapur. Saif also got ‘Kareena’ tattooed on his arm. Sadly, the famous arm has been injured. His hand was bandaged when he performed with a rock band in Bangalore and Mumbai last month.
“Yeah, I injured my right hand while shooting in Greece. I put a glass down too hard after a drink. And it broke in my hand. It’s no big deal. The only thing is that I can’t shake hands. Fortunately, it didn’t affect my guitar-playing,” said the actor whose Ta Ra Rum Pum and Eklavya - The Royal Guard bombed last year. Saif says those who constantly ask him about the ‘Kareena’ tattoo annoy him. “On the other hand, you can’t really blame them, I suppose it’s a big deal. So people will talk about it for sometime and then stop talking after a while. You got to remove yourself from the place of discomfort and look at it more dispassionately.” He was aware that the media would focus on the tattoo rather than his music when he performed at the concerts. “Fortunately, the audience appreciated the music. Look, the limelight is a moving spotlight. Once in a while, you are caught in it.” Couldn’t he get the tattoo done in a less visible place? After all, it’s all about Saif and his love. “No. It’s between me and my arm,” he shot back.
After the successful rock concerts, would Saif like to cut an album? “No, can’t sing beyond the lower notes. I was in Alibaug to finish the last schedule of Kunal Kohli’s untitled film January 28 to February 3. We’re done with this film.”
Bollywood will be celebrating love on this Valentine’s Day. Most of the couples in Bollywood are planning to knot this year. All are set for Valentine’s Day except the most talk about couple, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor. This will be Saif and Kareena’s first Valentine Day. We quizzed Kareena about their Valentines Day plan and she surprised us by saying that the duo will not be celebrating it. Isn’t it surprising that a couple, who is very much in love, will not be celebrating it? Kareena quickly replies, “I don’t think we will be able to meet on that day as I will be shooting for Golamaal Returns while Saif will be in Europe, so there will be no celebration.”
When asked her to define love and commitment she said, “The word love and commitment itself defines their meaning. I can’t express it in words.” Well Kareena’s cant but her beau certainly did. Saif, who is madly in love with her has already expressed his love for Kareena. He has tattooed her name on his forearm. Isn’t it enough to show the intensity of his love Bebo!

This film too is said to be inspired by the Hollywood flick The Bachelors.
Director Imtiaz Ali is hell-bent on making a pure love story with the pair, writes Joginder Tuteja While both Jab We Met and Socha Na Tha revolved around interaction between two youngsters, which eventually culminated into love, none of the two were true blue romantic tales. However, writer-director Imtiaz Ali declares that his next film starring Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone, would be an intense romantic tale to the core. Imtiaz says, “This is going to be my first love story. Jab We Met and Socha Na Tha, both weren’t love stories in the true sense of the term. In both the films, there was no romantic kick-start. Jab We Met had only one of the protagonists (Shahid Kapur) realising his love for the girl (Kareena Kapoor) who falls in love with him only towards the film’s end.” Imtiaz remembers Socha Na Tha affectionately, “This movie was even more experimental, since here the story began with the two people being set up for marriage. They chose to become friends first, only to turn into lovers later.” However, with Saif and Deepika, this doesn’t seem to be the case. Laughs Imtiaz, “Yes, this time around it is going to be love all the way. Still, it is always difficult for me to categorise a film in a particular genre.” Days after Jab We Met was declared a hit, Imtiaz had gone off to USA for a vacation. How was it to be back home and still see the film making waves, now on the DVD circuits? He replies excitedly, “To my pleasant surprise, I found that the film’s DVDs were disappearing from the stands so quickly that at many places there was an ‘Out of stock’ notice put up. The DVD company is busy responding to bulk orders from all over.” Coming back to his Saif and Deepika starrer, what is holding him from announcing the launch the ambitious project? “I am more keen on getting started with the shoot rather than creating a hype and hoopla around the project. Announcements can happen anytime,” laughs Imtiaz.
Katrina Kaif and Saif Ali Khan were in the news all day yesterday. Albeit for different reasons. The pair is back in again for a sensuous song.
Explaining the situation of the song, Kat says, “Yes. I have shot Zara Zara in Race. My character is that of Saif’s secretary and she’s in love with him. He’s clueless about it and she’s trying to get his attention.”
The song has been choreographed by Bosco-Caesar. Kat, who has worn a sexy outfit in the song, adds, “The song demanded the kind of outfit we chose. I found this dress designed by Jenny Packham in Dubai who is a big name there and retails in many hi-fashion stores there. It’s a flowy, layered blue dress.”
