Music composer Ismail Darbar is all set to turn to direction and if all goes the film will go on the floors by May this year. However, he is not ready to divulge any details at the moment. Our source says, “Ismail was always inclined towards direction. He has a fine knowledge of direction because he used to be present in the story secessions and on the sets of Sanjay Bhansali’s Devdas and Hum Dil de Chuke Sanam. He is currently in the process of finalising his first film as a director but he is keeping all his cards close to his chest and does not want to reveal anything until he has finalised the cast of the film.” When contacted Ismail Darbar confirms, “Yes, it is true that I am getting into direction but I will reveal everything at the right time.” When quizzed further about the subject, he says, “So far whatever work I have done has been talked about, so rest assured when I make a film, it will also be talked about. All I can say is that the film is based on a real-life incident. My film will go on the floors in the next couple of months.” When asked if his friend, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is aware of his intentions of getting into direction, Darbar says, “Yes, I did mention to him before he left for Paris for his show. I have not discussed the subject with him but he knows that if I take up something, I will do justice to it. He will always be there for me just as I am always there for him.”
