Contrary to reports about the two stars not seeing eye to eye, Sanjay Dutt and Akshay Kumar got along like a house on fire when they came together after 14 years to shoot the underwater thriller “Blue”.
“The last time Akshay and I worked together was in ‘Amaanat’ in 1994. And now ‘Blue’. I can see the transformation in him from then to now. It’s been a long journey for him. And in many ways, I see a reflection of my own journey.
During the two-month-long shooting schedule in Bangkok and Phuket for Anthony D’Souza’s directorial debut, the two actors bonded big time, exchanging notes in between complicated underwater sequences.
Rubbishing reports of fights with Akshay in Bangkok, Sanjay said: “Who’s spreading these rumours? Obviously some people can’t tolerate the fact that I get along with my co-stars. They want to see me fighting with my co-stars and directors. Sorry, I won’t oblige. Getting into fights with Akshay isn’t possible.
“I’m a guy who gets along with everybody. And anyone who knows me will vouch for this. Akshay is like a younger brother to me. He gives me so much respect it’s embarrassing to hear we’ve been fighting. And the way he has struggled from scratch to become a big star is exemplary,” Sanjay said.
“They also wrote that I was having a fight with director Tony in Bangkok. I was in the water most of the time while he was directing me. When do I get a chance to have a fight with anyone? If anyone is trying to spoil the party for me, let me tell these spoilsports they aren’t going to succeed. They aren’t going to be invited for my parties.”
Just one problem in this new pally scenario. The two wives - Maanyata and Twinkle Khanna - haven’t really met or hit it off with each other.

The star forced S Shankar to scrap a shooting schedule as she was busy shooting for Mani Rathnam. S Shankar has been forced to scrap the Kulu Manali leg of the shooting of his sci-fi film Endhiran as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was busy with Mani Ratnam’s film with Abhishek. An insider says, “The Kulu schedule which was supposed to start from November 14 just came up as Shankar wanted to shoot some portions in the scenic valleys with Rajnikanth and Aishwarya. Though Rajni was available for those days, Ash wasn’t as she had given her dates to Mani Ratnam and was shooting with her hubby Abhishek near Kochi.”The source adds: “So, Shankar had nothing to do but to scrap the entire schedule as the scenes that were to be shot in Kulu required both the stars to be present. It is being said that he wanted to shoot a song sequence for Endhiran there.”This change of plans has forced Shankar to start his third shooting schedule near Chennai. He is just filming these portions with Rajnikanth. “The Chennai schedule doesn’t require Ash in it as Shankar is shooting the portion of the script that requires only Rajnikanth.
He is looking to wrap up quickly and then commence his fourth schedule with Ash and Rajnikanth,” the source adds. The shooting of Endhiran began in the exotic Machu Picchu valley of Peru on September 8 this year. The second leg saw the crew travelling to Goa for a 10-day shooting schedule.
Emraan Hashmi is all set to open up his ‘Raaz’ to the audience this November. We are talking about Emraan’s upcoming venture ‘Raaz 2′ directed by Mohit Suri. The star cast was seen promoting this intriguing thriller recently. The film stars Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut and Shekhar Suman’s son Adhyayan Suman. Incidentally, Kangna Ranaut plays a fashion model in ‘Raaz– The Mystery Continues’ after ‘Fashion’. While Vikram Bhatt had directed the original, Mohit Suri, who directed ‘Zeher’, ‘Kalyug’ and ‘Woh Lamhe’ and has completed ‘Awarapan’ for the Bhatts, will direct ‘Raaz 2′. Adhyayan debuted through ‘Haal-e-Dil’, which couldn’t gain much acceptance. This young lad considers ‘Raaz 2′ as his debut movie. ‘Raaz-The Mystery Continues’ deals with issues of the “evil within” the human psyche and how it manifests itself. It is based on the myths and superstitions that are still widely existent in the contemporary Indian society.
The film attempts to challenge one’s beliefs about paranormal phenomena. It is about anticipation of fear and the fright residing within one’s self. Sounds interesting!
Vivek Oberoi is desperate to seek Salman Khan’s forgiveness and is at it again by bombarding Salman with text messages.
“A source says, “Vivek tried every gimmick in the book to win Sallu over for four years since their spat. From sending him feelers through text messages to publicly apologising to the actor at an award show, Vivek has done it all. Though many believe they’re all publicity stunts, the actor has maintained he wants to express his regrets and move on in life.”
“The source adds, “The latest so-called stunt was when Vivek thought he could call Sallu for his sister’s wedding. Although the wedding was made out to be a very personal event, a select bunch from the industry was also invited. Extending an invitation to Sallu came as a big surprise. As soon as Vivek came to know Khan was in town he sent him a long emotional message telling him that it would mean a lot if he came for the wedding. Khan didn’t feel the need to even reply to his message. After a day passed, Vivek started to send Sallu a couple of messages and at one point, even tried to call him. Sallu ignored him but finally ended up sending Vivek a stinker of a message.”
